Folder Cards using Envelope Die

Hey guys!

Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs taking over the DCAM blog today to share some card-making inspiration. I hope you guys enjoyed our tutorial for gift boxes using DCAM Envelope Die.

Here is another way of using the Split Long Envelope Die and create beautiful square cards.
Use your die-cutting machine to cut two rectangles using the dies and remove their side-flaps. Cut the rectangle in half.

I sketched out a quick stencil for you guys to follow, in case of confusion.

Now all you have to do is layer the two cards and paste them together. And you are ready to decorate!
I used the wood-grain embossing die with some brown ink to create a letterpress-impression. And of course, ended up using a LOT of my go-to critter sheets!

I cannot stress on this enough, there are SO many ways you can use these envelope dies and I am still playing around with them!

Hope you guys had fun following this post and share your own projects with us soon :)

Layered Wreath Card using DCAM Critter Sheets

Hey guys!
Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs to share some more layered inspiration using DCAM Watercolour Critter Sheets.

There is SO much you can do with these beautiful critter sheets. Just by fussy cutting a bunch of elements and it's super fun layering them with co-ordinated patterned papers.

Using kraft cardstock as the base. Cut out a circle with the same. Layer the cardstock with a patterned paper matt and start grouping these beautiful flowers together. I like to play around with the placement before committing to a perfect design assembly.

And simply add a sentiment and some bling for a finishing touch.
Hope you find this project as inspiring as I do with DCAM products.

Beary Creative Gift Tags with DCAM Critter Sheets!

Hey guys!

Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs, bringing some ADORABLE creative inspiration for you today using DCAM Critter Sheets *drools*

March is a super busy birthday month for us here so I figured, why not make some cute gift tags and add some sunshine in your life :)

The base of the tags was cut using Stitched Tag Dies and a smaller sized patterned paper used for matting the tag. Loads of fussy cutting resulted in these adorables.
And finally, mixing and matching, adding ribbons and twines and some bling :)

Hope you're having as much fun with the critter sheets as we are.
Don't forget to share your lovely projects with us.

Celebrate some special moments Layout!

Hello everyone!
Happy Monday!

Vinita this side with my new pretty layout this time showcasing new critter sheets release and scripted sentiment!

This specific layout is all about believing in traditions and all Indian festivals, their significance!
The images are the celebrating Raksha Bandhan Festival! The significance of Raksha Bandhan is huge in our country! It is celebrated no lesser than any other festival, as it is dedicated to the love of a sister and her brother. It holds immense importance in our lives and in Hinduism! On this day sister ties Rakhi around her brother's wrist while the brother undertakes an oath to protect his sister until death and I totally believe in this tradition. He vows to stand by her sister through thick and thin. Sisters tying the sacred thread around the wrists of brothers is a symbol of attachment, meant to strengthen their bond of love,  so I wanted to capture those precious and special moments and gifted this LO to my daughter.
These cute photos of my children have long been waiting for their time!

I wanted to create a delicate, multi-layered and voluminous page with a lot of love and tenderness!
I fussy cut out the images from the critter sheets, some die cuts and a scripted chiplet word celebrate, later I chose the white one.
I chose a watercolored dotted PP for this LO. and added a torn strip of the corrugated sheet in dark brown with some watercolored look sentiments.
There is a lot of stamping work using some leaves, heat embossed some chippies in gold glitter and embellished it with some beautiful flowers along with a pretty floral lace.

Now some close ups:

With Love from DCAM

Hey guys!

Spardha here today from The Lazy Owl Designs :)
I'm here today, to inspire you with a super fun and quirky card using DCAM Critter sheets!

As you know, there is a wide variety of designs and sentiments to choose from. You can simply fussy cut them all at once and use them in different combinations for a quick card. I complete most of my fussy cutting while watching a show *wink*

Using a black base for the card, I found a gorgeous patterned paper for adding some pop of colour to the matt. Layering fussy cut Watercolour Florals with a sentiment from Sentimental Banneriffic using double sided tape to add dimension.

I added a finishing touch using sequins to complete the final look of the card.

Bold sentiment cards using DCAM chiplets

Hello crafty friends!
In today's post I am mainly highlighting on  DCAM newly released word /sentiment chiplets .  Its a pack of 6 chiplets both  in black n white Colors....fonts  of these chiplets are so good, just like big sentiment stamps....so I have used that n made three bold sentiment cards..with that I have also
used critter sheets and 3-D stencils  from DCAM.

My first card:
In this card for the base I have used iris cardstock and done stenciling with distress oxides  using DCAM 3-D stencil. Then using square stiched die I have cut that card into 4.25x5.5" . Then fussy cut the selected critter sheets, and decided to used word wishes from chiplets set..
So after doing 3d stenciling,I have arranged everything roughly..and when I was happy with the card layout..I have stuck everything..to give diemension I have used foam tapes in flowers n butterfly.. finally used nova enamel dots in few places..for word best I have used Concordn9 alpha stamp set .then did layering with pink cardstock n then on iris folded cardstock.

My second card:

This card is my favourite..and I love this critter sheet design..it's got watercolor effects on Lotus n leaves..so I decided to give watercolor background..for this I have used distress inks ..I have also used shabby white embossing enamel and ultra thick black embossing enamel..and to give diemension to leaves I have used foam tape in one leaf n bud..stamp sentiment from my stash..and word sending is from DCAM chiplets. Finally did layering with pink n iris folded cardstock.

My 3rd card:

In this card I did stenciling in background using distress inks picked raspberry and peeled paint and spritzs water through stencil....I have used a circle white diecut to highlight my flowers ..used ice candy glitter on that... finally used birthday sentiment chiplets from DCAM n happy stamp from my stash..did layering with black n folded iris cardstock.
Hope you have liked my cards.. thank you for stopping by..see you next time with another inspiration post.
Love n hugs
Daksha
