A Criss Cross Card

Hello friends,

This is Sachi here ,and its my turn for inspiration for the ongoing DCAM Challenge No 3 # 3D Cards.
This is my first attempt at a criss cross card and got to say its fun to make this.Well i have gone back to the basics again and for this card i have gone pastel and used one of my favourite colour combo pink and green
So with much ado , here's my card -

I have added an insert card for the sentiment piece and decorated it using floral ovals and the pretty MS Doily lace punch.

DCAM has a great collection of the Whimsy sentiment stamps , you can check them out here , for this card I have used the 'Love Me Do' stamp

The colouring is done with  Distress markers and i have outlined both the images with the fine tipped spectra brown marker , this is also great in highlighting hair as well. The sparkle on the flowers is from the crystal dust glitter by DCAM .The edges on the pink background piece and the big center bloom have been brushed with the pearlescent strawberry mist , doesnt it add a lovely glow ?

Thats it from me , hope you like my card , would love to hear from you ! Still a week left for our current challenge to close, so dont forget to join in the fun , see ya soon !

Rosy Photoframe

Hello Fellas.

What are you all upto? Crafting??? Have you all participated into our ongoing challenge #4 Interactive cards. If not then hurry up...there is still time to participate. So what I have for you all this time.

Well I have come up with photo frame. It was actually brown in color so I thought of changing it...and I used Gesso from our store and changed it to white color. Gesso gave it a white color and smooth texture.
Then I distressed the edges with Distress Ink which gave it a bit depth on the edges. We have wide variety of distress inks and reinkers at our DCAM store. I have added few mulberry roses from my stash and blings.
Here comes the pics.
Close up chipboard alphabets. I added glitter onto it.
Close up of roses.
 Another shot.
And one more...

I hope I have inspired you enough so hurry up and participate into our ongoing challenge.

DCAM is happy to say that we are offering

                                          Sonora Rose Memory Box Die

So as an inspiration I have brought Squash book with an easy tutorial. Its a picture heavy post so just sit back and relax.

You will require three 8 * 8 inches squares. Fold it vertically and horizontally in halves as given in picture.
Now Fold this diagonally as shown in picture. Repeat this process with other two sqaure pieces also.

Now try to close the three sqaures in the way given in the below picture. It will form a square.

You are with me on the same page I hope. Now open the two squares and paste corner (Marked with red Star) of one square piece to corner of other square.
It will look like this.
Now take the third square piece and paste to the remaining corner and it will look something like this.
Note: While assembling the three squares keep mountain folds of corner squares upside and the valley fold of middle square upside. Isn't it easy?
Now decorate it with patter papers, stamping and whatever way you want.
I have used Echo Park Papers "Love story" from my stash. here comes the pics. I have used Mistries to color the flowers from our DCAM store. Die is Speelbinders Oval die from the store. This die is so versatile.

Here is the complete look of the card when ribbon is untied.
Closeup shots of individual panels. Dies used are assorted dies from DCAM store.

Here is the complete look of card with the box.
Did you check my handmade roses? I have used Joy Crafts flower die. This is just awesome one and I can't get enough of it. One can create different flowers with this single die. I have used DCAM own Glitter on the flowers. This is super awesome one.
So girls start brainstorming your creativity and join us in the current challenge.
