Brushed Paint Technique with DCAM

Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs with an awesome technique I'd like to share with you today :)

So, like I promised, this one shall be the last Diwali post from my end and we'll be moving on to Christmas celebrations. Today, I'd like to share with you a brushed paint technique using dry embossing pads.

Embossing pads are fairly easy to use and provide you with a great texture for your project backgrounds as they are but they are super fun to use with added colours. Instead of using an ink pad, I dipped a dry paint brush into thick golden paint and swiped it on the embossing pad.
Inserting a solid white sheet of paper and embossing it using my Sizzix machine transferred the design with a beautiful washed-out colour effect on the card matt.

I added the diya cut-out with some "bling" and gold embossed sentiment to complete the look.

Gift box with note cards - DCAM

Hi friends!
This is my third post for this month..and as I told you..this is a continuation of my second post .. Here.
Today I am sharing next set of 6 cards..and pictorial for the gift box...gift box size is 3.5"x 3.5and  hight of the box is 2.50".it fits 12 note cards with 12 envelopes.

This gift box fits 12 note cards..and below is the diagram ....with which you can make same box...this is my own measurements..I did few trial after that I made this box..as I wanted to fit 12 cards with envelopes perfectly....

Diwali cards with DCAM

Hello crafty friends,
For my today's post I have created Diwali cards..as our festival of lights is just a month away..and as we need to prepare in advance....at DCAM store we have beautiful diya die....so I have used that and DCAM stencil..and made my cards..

My  first card is bright. For background I have done stenciling using Dcam stencil and distress oxides- spiced marmalade, abandoned coral,candied apple. I  have used  die cut frame , which I have highlighted with DCAM glitter ice candy, used hindi Slokas pattern paper in the middle and finally decorated with diya diecut in bright red Colors. Used Subha Deepavali sentiment.

In second card I have made shaker element with circle frame ,highlighted with DCAM glitter,and used diya diecuts in yellow,red in colours..here I have used sentiment inside shaker element.

Flower cards and money envelopes with DCAM

Hello crafty friends!
Hope you all are doing well...it's busy time for me, with son's exam and my daughter's national rowing competition practice...next week she is going for her national rowing compition,praying that she does her best 🙂❤️
For today's post I have made three cards and three matching money envelopes..so total 6 items. I have used DCAM new September release 3D stencil for all my project backgrounds and DCAM new release critter sheets..I tried to focus mainly on these two and created my projects.  when I got this 3d stencil in my DT kit.. first I tried to play with it and did many backgrounds..and later using that distress stencil backgrounds n flower critter sheets.. I made all these projects...

I have used 3d flip stencil designed by Mansi Gupta Sharma owner and DT of DCAM STORE ..she has excellent video tutorial on this 3d flip stencil..HERE is the video link..so please check various looks you can create using one stencil..

Wedding cake shape keepsake Box with DCAM

Hello crafty friends!
Iam here with DCAM stores new September release inspiration post..
For today's post  I have made a wedding cake shape keepsake Box. For two tier of cake box I have used sizzix circle dies , pattern papers and iris cardstock and then decorated whole project using DCAM wedding celebrations and flower clitter sheets, hydrangea flower die ,DCAM ice candy glitter etc..
Size of bottom big box is 4.25" and top small box is 3" and height of each box is 1.25" and total this cake shaped keepsake box size is 5"x 6".
On top I have used small easel card base to support couple picture..and all around I have used fussy cut flowers and congratulations banner from same wedding critter sheet.
