                                          Sonora Rose Memory Box Die

So as an inspiration I have brought Squash book with an easy tutorial. Its a picture heavy post so just sit back and relax.

You will require three 8 * 8 inches squares. Fold it vertically and horizontally in halves as given in picture.
Now Fold this diagonally as shown in picture. Repeat this process with other two sqaure pieces also.

Now try to close the three sqaures in the way given in the below picture. It will form a square.

You are with me on the same page I hope. Now open the two squares and paste corner (Marked with red Star) of one square piece to corner of other square.
It will look like this.
Now take the third square piece and paste to the remaining corner and it will look something like this.
Note: While assembling the three squares keep mountain folds of corner squares upside and the valley fold of middle square upside. Isn't it easy?
Now decorate it with patter papers, stamping and whatever way you want.
I have used Echo Park Papers "Love story" from my stash. here comes the pics. I have used Mistries to color the flowers from our DCAM store. Die is Speelbinders Oval die from the store. This die is so versatile.

Here is the complete look of the card when ribbon is untied.
Closeup shots of individual panels. Dies used are assorted dies from DCAM store.

Here is the complete look of card with the box.
Did you check my handmade roses? I have used Joy Crafts flower die. This is just awesome one and I can't get enough of it. One can create different flowers with this single die. I have used DCAM own Glitter on the flowers. This is super awesome one.

FLORAL MIST-RY!!

Good Morning Lovelies

Hope you all are doing great and enjoying the month here at DCAM. Today it's my turn to share and inspire you all. By the way I hope you all enjoyed the awesome review on MIST-RIES, I personally loved them to the core these are just fabulous . Die cuts and More have many new surprises for you in the pipeline and I have a little sneak peak for the same . DCAM is rolling on to launch new shades of MIST-RIES.

Enough of talks ,Lets get stared !!

Here's my card! Full of textures and bright and bold colors . I am MAD about my MISTS these are honestly just to to to good. OHH! I just forgot to ask you did you like this new blue color  ( soon to be launched) , Its my favorite in fact all of them are, very difficult to decide which one is favorite of them all. Flowers are handmade and colored them with our very own  MIST-RIES .

                                                                 Closer view of Background

I have a Pictorial to share - How I created the background.

Materials Required -

Modelling paste , gesso , stencil ( I love my new Kaisercraft stencil), tissue and cardstock

STEP- 1

Randomly I have dropped some gesso over my Card stock and with the help of tissue i have spread all over the CS. You don't have to be perfect for this ( its good to be messy :P)

STEP-2

Now , I have used Sakura Modelling Paste and it awesome . Its thick , the more you add it will add more depth to your piece of work.

STEP -3

And finally Mist- ries , I have used Emerald Green and Emethyst Purple here , but in my card I have used Blue Sapphire and True Torquise  . I love the boldness and brightness of these colors.

This is how my card looks all packed and ready to go !!

Hope I was able to inspire you all . And it reminds have you participated in our first challenge  if not and then do so I am sure you don't want to miss the chance of owning our brand new MIST-RIES ( trail pack). And have you entered yourself for Crafty Feast DCAM CANDY  if not then get started .

Have Crafty Day
XOXO

Sweet Williams Flower Tutorial

Hello crafters,

I will be sharing a tutorial post on how to make a flower from the Cheery Lynn sweet Williams die. The beauty of this versatile die is that one can make 3-4 types of flowers by altering the techniques, here are few pictures-

After some trial-and-error...this is the way I made the flower, I think it almost resembles a marigold bloom The pictures are posted below with the step-by-step instructions...

 You will need:
Sweet Williams die
Tweezers

TUTORIAL
Step 1
This flower type requires 3 large , 2 2nd largest and 3 small die cuts-

Lightly mist the all the flower shapes with the Mist-ries ink spray with the desired color leaving some white spaces on few of the petals; I have used Citrine Orange here.

Step 2
With the misted side facing the mat emboss each of petals of the largest shape with the molding tool.

Once done turn the flower over and emboss/cup the flower center as shown in the picture. This will form the base layer

Step 3
Likewise take another shape with the misted side facing up and cup each of the petals with the molding tool. This will form the 2nd layer

Now layer and stick them on the previous die cut in a way that the 1st layer petals overlap the base

Step 4
Take the medium size die cuts and place the tweezers in the centre of each petal and apply firm pressure so that the side edges curl upwards.

Clasp the petal edges with the tweezer and tightly press to form a crease.

This is how the flower shape will show -

Step 5
Layer 3 shapes with the petals overlapping each other.

Step 6
Now finally take the smallest shape and cup the petals as done for the first layer.
Follow the technique as in step 2 for the last 3 smallest shapes.
Place glue into centre of larger petal base flowers add the corresponding layers and press firmly with the end of the molding tool into middle.

This is how the flower will look, you can also add pollens in the center of the flower . Die Cuts and more has a beautiful collection of pollens at reasonable prices.

And this is how I have used this flower on my Tag-

I would love to know your thoughts on this tutorial so please do drop me a line :)...I will appreciate your suggestions!
Have a great day ahead !
