Tealight Holder Tutorial

Hello friends,

Its Sachi  here, and this time I am going  to share a Tea-light Holder tutorial . Here is how it looks -

These can be used as dinner table centerpieces ,they can add a beautiful glow with the flicker of the tea light with the lights out. They can also be make a great gifting option for any sweet treats or favours

Here 's a closeup-

On the inside i have covered the windows with white netting and a lattice frame . The layered  pale pink flowers are from the MB Cherry blossoms set. The French Lily Corners have been misted with the Pearlescent strawberry Mist , doesn't it just give a gorgeous shimmer along with the pink hue ?

Have also added the Crystal Dust Transparent glitter , you can see here closely -

Now lets get started with the Tutorial !

To make this you will need -

A Cutting Knife & Mat
Ruler
Bonefolder
MS Scoreboard
A thick cardstock

Steps-

Step 1
Take an A5 sheet of paper with a total length of 21 cms (10 cms for each square plus one cm for the glue flap) On your scoreboard score the horizontal side at 0 and 4/8  , 3 and 7/8th , 4 and 4/8th  , 5 and 1/8th 7 and 7/8th , 8 and 3/8. Just to simplify every line on the scoreboard measures 1/8th inch .

Step 2
Now flip the paper vertically and score at 10cms(equal to 3 and 7/8th ) plus 3.94 cms for the glue flap . There is a wonderful must watch video tutorial on this link to make a layman understand the MS scoreboard measurements easily -
http://www.annespapercreations.com/2012/10/how-to-measure-on-martha-stewart.html

 Step 3
Now we will cut 2 windows between the 1st and the 2nd and the 4th and 5th scored lines as marked. Measure 1/2 an inch from the top and the bottom of the sheet and on both sides . Basically ensure that the width of the square on all the four sides should be equal .

Step 4
You would need to cut 2 panels with 4 windows for each side of the square box. After cutting the 2 squares , this is how it would look-

Make all the folds using a Bone folder and adhere the 2 panels together with the glue flaps as shown-Its best to use a double sided tape here to ensure that the 4 pillars do not bend .

Step 5
You will also need to adhere the square on a card base of 10 cm by 10cm and your tea light box is ready !

This is how it looks with the tea light inside -

Hope you like my tutorial , do let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.Would love to hear from you . Thanks for stopping by and do not forget to share your beautiful creations for the ongoing Challenge No 3 # Photo Inspiration !
