Layered Wreath Card using DCAM Critter Sheets

Hey guys!
Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs to share some more layered inspiration using DCAM Watercolour Critter Sheets.

There is SO much you can do with these beautiful critter sheets. Just by fussy cutting a bunch of elements and it's super fun layering them with co-ordinated patterned papers.

Using kraft cardstock as the base. Cut out a circle with the same. Layer the cardstock with a patterned paper matt and start grouping these beautiful flowers together. I like to play around with the placement before committing to a perfect design assembly.

And simply add a sentiment and some bling for a finishing touch.
Hope you find this project as inspiring as I do with DCAM products.

Beary Creative Gift Tags with DCAM Critter Sheets!

Hey guys!

Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs, bringing some ADORABLE creative inspiration for you today using DCAM Critter Sheets *drools*

March is a super busy birthday month for us here so I figured, why not make some cute gift tags and add some sunshine in your life :)

The base of the tags was cut using Stitched Tag Dies and a smaller sized patterned paper used for matting the tag. Loads of fussy cutting resulted in these adorables.
And finally, mixing and matching, adding ribbons and twines and some bling :)

Hope you're having as much fun with the critter sheets as we are.
Don't forget to share your lovely projects with us.

With Love from DCAM

Hey guys!

Spardha here today from The Lazy Owl Designs :)
I'm here today, to inspire you with a super fun and quirky card using DCAM Critter sheets!

As you know, there is a wide variety of designs and sentiments to choose from. You can simply fussy cut them all at once and use them in different combinations for a quick card. I complete most of my fussy cutting while watching a show *wink*

Using a black base for the card, I found a gorgeous patterned paper for adding some pop of colour to the matt. Layering fussy cut Watercolour Florals with a sentiment from Sentimental Banneriffic using double sided tape to add dimension.

I added a finishing touch using sequins to complete the final look of the card.

Diwali Gift Tags with DCAM Critter Sheets

Hey guys!

Spardha here from The Lazy Owl Designs today with some Diwali inspiration for you.
Is it that time already? YES!

I'm sure you do too, but I simply LOVE this time of the year when the festivities begin starting with the beautiful weather, all these decorative lights and food. Oh, and let's not forget the gifts.

Which brings me to today's post where I've made these gorgeous gift tags for all your present needs {okay, this was not the best of my puns} using DCAM Critter Sheets.
Do you realise how easy these sheets make your life?

I used some glitter foam as a background mat and to add a bit of dimension to the cards, cutting out some of these adorable graphics from the sheet and layering them on with pearls, sequins and bows.
The best part?
You can make a bunch of these with just one sheet. And of course, these are so cute.

Hope you guys have started cleaning up and decorating your homes.
Happy Festive Season!

DCAM Stencil Scrapbook Layout!

Hey guys!

Spardha here today from The Lazy Owl Designs, sharing with you yet another cool way to use the DCAM 3D stencils!

I began by using white cardstock and soft pastels with 3D Arrow Pattern Builder stencil. I am in LOVE with how soft pastels are working out with these stencils!

Then I cut out a circular window from a black cardstock and stuck the 3D pattern behind the sheet.
I coordinated the critter flowers, sequins and pastel colours with the photo I was going to use on the layout. And added a few finishing touches with a white gel pen for journaling.

I ended up using two different sets of critter sheets together but they worked out perfectly.
Hope it inspires you to use your 3D stencils in some amazing ways!

Hugs & kisses

Hello everyone 😊

I'm Monika and today I'm sharing my first inspiration for DCAM shop.
After receiving my DT pack I couldn't decided which products to use first as all of them are so beautiful. When I picked few of the critter sheets I was amazed to see this beautiful detailed images, so I had to use them :)

For this round shaped card I cut few flowers and leaves from Floral Fantasee critter sheet and arranged them on the card.
I decided to add: sending hugs & kisses to finish it off.

Hope you liked my project and please check out other products on DCAM website.

Simple pop-up card using DCAM Dies

Hey guys!

Spardha here today from The Lazy Owl Designs with an easy-peasy tutorial using these super simple pop-up card dies from DCAM.

Supplies Used: Cardstock - white; Vintage Watercolor critter sheets; Tools - MS label punch;
Embossing folder - Wood grain; Stamp -Cardmaking Connoisseurs Birthday;  Embellishments - Sequins, white string;

There are two ways of using these dies. One simple way of making beautiful pop up cards is you die cut the "pop" before folding the card. The other way, which I personally found easier, is to fold the card and align the die to the fold. Watch the video for more details.

And I can't tell you how easy it is to decorate the cards with these beautiful critter sheets. I've used Vintage Watercolour for this card.

 Also, these sheets have a texture to them so they really don't look like prints.

I hope I've inspired you to create some of your own fun pop-up cards.

Card using 3D Stencil Builder

Hello beautiful people!
Spardha here today from The Lazy Owl Designs.
I am back with another card, this time with more experimentation and hit-and-trials with these amazing 3D stencil builders!

Supplies Used: Cardstock - beige, white; Orange watercolor critter sheets; Tools - Heat gun, soft pastels;

Have you tried any of these stencils yet?
Because if you haven't then you should definitely give these a try and you will fall in love {not even kidding}

Our amazing designer Mansi has made a tutorial video on how to use these stencils here.
I wanted softer shades for my card and thought let's give this a shot with soft pastels. Best thing about these stencils is the fact that these are sturdy and thick enough for you to hold down and pat with any colour without making it bleed.

The background was achieved using dry-wash technique with soft pastels and of course used the beautiful critter sheets and this stamped sentiment with a few sequins to complete the look.
Hope this gives you lots of ideas to use these stencils with different inks and mediums.

Polaroid Shaker Card with DCAM Dies

Hey guys!

It's Spardha from The Lazy Owl Designs taking over the DCAM blog space to share with you a super fun project I created using some amazing drool-worthy DCAM products!

First, wishing you all a very Happy Independence Day! Now in the spirit of celebration, we move to our project for the day.

Supplies Used: Cardstock - white, wine, purple; Vintage watercolor critter sheets; Dies - Polaroid Frames, Silhouette Foliage;
Embellishments - Crystal Ice Cubes, Sequins, pearls, mulberry flowers, paper flowers;

Today we have on the menu, a Polaroid frame shaker card. It's super easy, loads of fun and so versatile. And in order to share all the techniques I used with you, I have created a video tutorial.

Honest confession, I sat with all the DCAM critter sheets for over an hour thinking "wow these are beautiful" and a funny thought came into my head "Hey! Maybe I can frame them!"

Well, I did! And that's how I came up with this gorgeous card idea.
I have listed all the DCAM supplies used during the process and you do get to see a bit of "experimenting" on the card.
I doubles the foam for the back of the frame because I wanted to add thicker sprinkles (crystal ice cubes).

But seriously guys, there are a zillion ways to use the oh-so-beautiful critter sheets and the polaroid frame dies. So go ahead, get creative and share with us :)

Have a great creative week!
