A Card with Textures

Hello friends,

Its Sachi here ,and its my turn for the inspiration at the DCAM Challenge No 3  where the ongoing theme is Photo Inspiration .I hope you are enjoying the amazing inspirations from my fellow DTS.
Here is my card which i have made using lots of textures and distressing , and this is how it looks-

I started the card with a base pp , and layered it with another one which i have created using the Crafters Workshop stencil Damask  using the Modelling paste and gesso, here 's a closer look -

And i have distressed it with some gold and pink chalk ink , loved the effect it has created ! (My first attempt at paper stitching on the borders , not so neat so please ignore that ). DieCuts & More has an updated stock of these magical stencils , you can check them out here.

The delicate oval die frame is from the Memory Box Palace Oval Frame set , which i have layered on the Floral oval diecut.I have added a ruffled lace as borders on both the sides of the pp. Finally added some textures and mulberry daisies from my stash and finished the card-

The sentiment label is handcut and i have crinkled the edges and added some chunky crystal glitters at the edges. I have rubbed all the edges of the cardstock with Vintage Photo distress ink.

Thats it from me , so how do you like my card , do leave your comments would love to hear from you all.

And still a few days left to participate in the ongoing challenge ,there are 2  yummy Prima stamp sets to win !

Happy Bright Cards!

Hello everyone!
Hope you all are enjoying the lovely post my fellow Dt's are getting!
Such fab projects and tutorials are the cherry on the cake!
So its my turn to share some cards with you all today. I've used Prima Anna Marie 6*6 Its a gorgeous paper pad!
I just love how thick are prima paper pads and the prints are so cute its a combination of brights and vintage prints which is awesome!
I've made two cards and one mini album! Here are the pictures.

For the first card I have done some fussy cutting and layering and added glossy accents to the elements, I just love glossy accents its one of my favourite product to use.

Next I have made a four fold mini album using a 4*16 inch paper scoring at 4,8,12 and using a corner rounder to round the edges.

I've added a die cut with a sentiment inside, these albums look cute and can be used for pictures and messages.

Here's my next card .Arent't these prints cute? I so love them

I've layered the pattern paper with card stock and added die cuts.
Hope you all like these ! :D

Tealight Holder Tutorial

Hello friends,

Its Sachi  here, and this time I am going  to share a Tea-light Holder tutorial . Here is how it looks -

These can be used as dinner table centerpieces ,they can add a beautiful glow with the flicker of the tea light with the lights out. They can also be make a great gifting option for any sweet treats or favours

Here 's a closeup-

On the inside i have covered the windows with white netting and a lattice frame . The layered  pale pink flowers are from the MB Cherry blossoms set. The French Lily Corners have been misted with the Pearlescent strawberry Mist , doesn't it just give a gorgeous shimmer along with the pink hue ?

Have also added the Crystal Dust Transparent glitter , you can see here closely -

Now lets get started with the Tutorial !

To make this you will need -

A Cutting Knife & Mat
Ruler
Bonefolder
MS Scoreboard
A thick cardstock

Steps-

Step 1
Take an A5 sheet of paper with a total length of 21 cms (10 cms for each square plus one cm for the glue flap) On your scoreboard score the horizontal side at 0 and 4/8  , 3 and 7/8th , 4 and 4/8th  , 5 and 1/8th 7 and 7/8th , 8 and 3/8. Just to simplify every line on the scoreboard measures 1/8th inch .

Step 2
Now flip the paper vertically and score at 10cms(equal to 3 and 7/8th ) plus 3.94 cms for the glue flap . There is a wonderful must watch video tutorial on this link to make a layman understand the MS scoreboard measurements easily -
http://www.annespapercreations.com/2012/10/how-to-measure-on-martha-stewart.html

 Step 3
Now we will cut 2 windows between the 1st and the 2nd and the 4th and 5th scored lines as marked. Measure 1/2 an inch from the top and the bottom of the sheet and on both sides . Basically ensure that the width of the square on all the four sides should be equal .

Step 4
You would need to cut 2 panels with 4 windows for each side of the square box. After cutting the 2 squares , this is how it would look-

Make all the folds using a Bone folder and adhere the 2 panels together with the glue flaps as shown-Its best to use a double sided tape here to ensure that the 4 pillars do not bend .

Step 5
You will also need to adhere the square on a card base of 10 cm by 10cm and your tea light box is ready !

This is how it looks with the tea light inside -

Hope you like my tutorial , do let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.Would love to hear from you . Thanks for stopping by and do not forget to share your beautiful creations for the ongoing Challenge No 3 # Photo Inspiration !

I layered the tag withe the background i made using my MS Scoring board and then decorated it using liquid pearls doesnt it look fab? Next i made the rose using the Joy crafts flower1 die. I learnt this pretty flower from Mansi di! Thanks Di for teaching me i am so in love with these! I next covered the edges with glossy accents and added diamond dust I hope you all know how much do i love diamond dust! I've used my favourite spellbinders Floral ovals and distressed it with Victorian velvet. i can never get enough of this die its so versatile and goes really well with floral creations its a must have! I've used some pattern paper from my stash and punched it using Xcut punch.

Here's a close up of the flower!

Blue n White

Hello friends,

Hope you are all doing great , am sachi here with a Pastel blue n white Card for the ongoing Photo inspiration challenge.

Well firstly would like to thank Mansi for such a fabulous inspiration to start , it will be etched in our crafting memories forever ! I got to admit that this is not an easy challenge , finally after a great deal of thinking this is what i came up with ,I have chosen the 3rd pic which is the blue on white .-

I started the card first by creating the blooms which are both from the CL Gardenia strip die , with the icy blue colour from the blue Mist-tries . Can you imagine the number of layers i have added to get the floral effect in white right , its totally seven layers from the base to the sentiment ! LOL .
Here's a closeup-

A side view of the blooms and the buds -

I have used the gorgeous MS Wildflowers Punch here on a 8 by 8 inched square cardstock.  The 2nd layer of the wildflower borders that i have added on the square have been embossed with gesso using the Darice woodgrain embossing folder to get the whitey white effect .Finally i have layered the intricate Sophia's Heart doily on another blue one from my stash .

Also i have placed underneath a lacy circle diecut from a white lace doily . And have finished the card with the blooms on the Cheery Lynn Fanciful flourish on both sides of the sentiment .So how do you like my card , would love to hear your thoughts !

Red and White Card

Hello Friends
Today its my turn to share the card for our current challenge- Picture Inspiration. So here is the picture

And I have used Red and White color Combo. So what's upcoming up as DT inspiration.
Here comes up the card. I have used Glitter Cardstock and White Cardstock for the base and layer of the card. Glitter cardstock is so glittery and gives a special touch to the project. So here are the shots of the card.

Did you like it? Here is the close up of my handmade gardenias using Joy Crafts Dies. I have colored them using our very own Mist-ries. Aren't they looking real? This die so verstaile and one can create different kinds of flowers only with one die.

Ok enough of self praising. So hurry up girls get your creatives juices flowing and enter into our challenge up on the blog here.

Hugs,
Shilpi
