Today we are excited to announce our next two Design Team members for the October 2016- April 2017 time frame.

First up with have the wonderful Shalini Pahwa from India

My journey over last 5 years has perhaps been the most satisfying one in terms of my life’s ambitions and purpose. Because of support from my family and from fellow artists, I have been able to showcase my creations in various forums and art exhibitions across India. Now I desire to take the next leap and showcase my creations across wider platform. Towards this end, I have joined Mixed Media Warriors  and Mudra Stamps as a DT and have a great desire to join the auspicious and ingenious forum of “Die Cuts And More” as a Design Team member. I love working on Layouts, tags, cards, mini album, mixed media altered art projects.

Our second Design Team Introduction today is the wonderful Vanessa Amann from Germany.

Hello, my name is Vanessa Amann and I´m from Germany. I´m 25 years old and I study sports and sociology. To crafting I came in 2014 when I discovered the whole stamping and die cutting world. Since then I´m addicted and spend my pass time (and money) with crafting. Mainly I create clean and simple cards with colored images. I´m honored to be part of this exciting adventure.

Design Team Reveal Day 1

Greetings Crafters, today is such an exciting day. For one reason it is October 1, the first Saturday of the month and the beginning of an exciting time here at Die Cuts and More.

Last month we had a design team call, did receive a lot of great applications from all over the world. However, we were only able to choose a few at this time; which made it hard. We hope that our team is able to give you a lot of inspiration in the upcoming months and years.

The first introduction I would like to do is Die Cuts and More owner...

Mansi Gupta Sharma.

Hi I am Mansi , owner and operator of Die Cuts And More. I live in New Delhi with my most supportive husband and my 13 years old daughter. I have been into crafting since last 5 years. Die Cuts And More for me is not just a store, It’s a dream that became real not by chance, but by High Intention, Sincere Effort, Intelligent Direction, Skillful Execution, and a Vision to see Obstacles as opportunities. We started it in the end of 2010, but never knew will fly this high. In those days, it was a struggle to find any craft stuff in INDIA, and the few which were available were sold at EXORBITANTLY high prices. This is where I decided to start my own Craft Store, where everything will be available at the most competitive prices. And now after so many years of hard work, we were capable to turn this small home based store to a company which is now manufacturing various different products and we are exporting to more than 20 countries now. I am thrilled to begin announcing our design team today. I hope you enjoy the journey with us.

Lee Ann McKinney

A little about me, I am 49 years old, and live in Florida with a wonderful husband that supports my fun. He is always there to encourage me and always wants to see my work as soon as it is finished, he is actually learning some of the terminology. I have 3 wonderful daughters and an adorable 2 year old old grandson and with another grand child on the way. Years ago when my daughters were young I was a heavy duty scrapbooker. I then gave it up for 10 years after a big life change, however during my daughters first pregnancy I started up again. I love my grandson and making memory pages makes it even more fun.

I started making cards in May 2014 and now my days are spent in my craft room having crafty fun. While I am a clean and simple type papercrafter, and I am exploring more of the options out there. I love shaker and box cards, heat embossing and starting to play more with embossing paste, and mixed media.

Second I would like to introduce Kavitha

I am Kavitha from Chennai, India. I always had a creative flair n love coloring a lot from my school days. I also keep doing small craft works during summer holidays with my cousins. I stumbled upon paper crafting when I started blogging few years back and blown away by the talent I came across the world, which inspired me to take paper crafting seriously. I love trying something new all the time and that doesn't allow me to stay with a particular style or art form for long. From fine arts to crafts I have tried my hands on lots of things, and my latest obsession is mixed media. I love mixed media more as it inspires me to create with out any restriction, fulfills my love for playing with colors and to use all thing pretty.

My creations are inspired by colors, my style is more of clean and cluttered with a touch of shabby chic or vintage, but I love trying different styles from time to time. My creative journey was rewarding n fulfilling all the time but mixed media n blogging  gave me a new high. I have had opportunity to design for some of the leading brands both in India and International for past one year and I learnt a lot along the way.

Team Die Cuts and More

Greeting friends and fellow crafters. I am so excited to share with you the new Design Team has been picked for the next 6 months. It was very hard to choose 8 out of the many wonderful applicants. Believe me, we wanted to choose everyone.

Please know that if you were not in the chosen 8, we do have your applications and will be asking some to be guest designers in the near future.

We will be revealing the names of our new design team members along with a short biography and contact info for each over the course of 4 days, 2 at a time beginning October 1. We have a great team coming to you from various parts of the world and a varied degree of crafting experience and styles. And hope you find a lot of inspiration coming from their posts.

Design Team Call

We are excited to announce that Die Cuts And More is Having its Design Team Call again, which is open Internationally!

Your Expectations for joining our Team:

Lots of Free products from Die Cuts And More Store from time to time. And a free Stampoholic (Nano/regular) to all the team members in the beginning of the term.
Fixed % of Discounts on all products in the DCAM store.
We are looking for the following:

Cardmaking experience, including use of the DCAM brand Products, as well as stamps and other products carried in our store.
Have the ability to photograph projects for use on blog and social media.
Have an active Blog
Have an active Instagram account
Have an active YouTube Channel
Have an active Facebook account
Have an active Twitter account (not required but preferable)
Requirements:

Design team members are responsible for making 3 projects per month. You will need to post your project to your blog and the DCAM blog on a schedule that will be provided to you by the design team manager.
Share current DCAM Sales and Promotions on your blog and through social media outlets.
Display the DCAM Design Team Image (which we will provide) on your blog.
Watermark your photos using the watermark we provide for you.
Design Team term will run for 6 months and may be renewable if both parties are agreeable.
Promote DCAM STORE and the products we carry whenever possible and appropriate.
Join our Design Team Private Facebook Group in order to keep in touch with other members and Design Team Manager.
How to Apply:

At least three samples of your work, including photos.

Stampoholic Episode 6

Welcome back for the sixth and final episode for Die Cuts and More and Stampoholic tool.  Hope you've enjoyed the last three months and found great uses for your Stampoholic tool.  Don't forget to follow the instructions for the giveaway below.

So this week I decided to share some more repeat stamping with you - I know we did that last week but this week I'm taking it one step further and using a plastic sheet to help position our stamps.  This will help to ensure that you get your image exactly where you want it and is great to fill up an area with the stamp stamp over and over again.  Check out the photo below and watch the youtube video to see the process in action.

Episode -5 Create your own Background w/STAMPOHOLIC

This week I have a super cute Flamingo card to share with you. I created my own background using my Stampoholic tool and a linear stamp. All you need to do is stamp one image, move your paper the width of your stamp and stamp again, you can fill an entire page or just stamp a highlight like I did. I also added some water droplets to make the distress ink move around on the background.

And not to leave out my Stampoholic Nano I used it to stamp the sentiment on my card front and the Flamingo too!
