Flower cards with DCAM

Hello crafty friend
Today it's my third DT post for DCAM designs using critter sheets-.. .I have created simple cards focusing on flower critter sheets... with that I have used distress oxides inks, Papericious design papers, few dies and stamps..for sentiments I have used sentiment banner critter sheet.  These flower critter sheets are so pretty that I couldn't stop myself and created 4 cards🙂

#1- first I did fussy cutting of all flowers n banner sentiments.
#2- then did few die cutting ..as I thought to use piano die, double stitched rectangle die cut frame.. etc.

Card-1: In this card I have used iris paper and cut the base 4.25 x5.5" using lawnfawn stitched rectangle die..inside frame I have used double stitched recangle die cut frame..then placing in the middle I marked the area lightly with pencil and did water Coloring using distress oxides inks..removed pencil mark with eraser..used black splatter effect with stamp..you can do it with brush..but I like to use stamp as it's much more controlled...then used dcam flower design , banner sentiment.. finally layered with black and white diagonal stripe pattern paper and folded iris card stock. Used clear drops in few places. I really love this soft look of my card❤️
Card-2: in this card I have used Papericious script pattern paper which I have cut into 4.25 x5.5" with lawnfawn stitched rectangle die..distress the edges using distress oxide ink. Then cut out the rectangle frame using double stitched rectangle die..I removed that pattern paper frame and added a frame in iris paper which I have raised a little using foam tapes..again in the middle part of iris rectangle frame I did smooching technique using distress oxide inks n water. Used dcam flower designs, sent sentiment banner and light purple rhinestones...finally on last thought I added blank ink Splatters using stamp and black versafine ink all around the outer side of the frame. Finally I layered the card with purple pattern paper and with folded iris card base. This one is my favourite of all four cards🙂
Card-3:here outer card frame 4.25 x5.5" from iris paper using rectangle stitched die. On that first I marked the area with pencil where my composition was there and did water coloring using distress oxide ink. Then I did stamping of leaves using green distress oxides ink and black versafine ink. Did flower and sentiment placement. Here also I have done black splatter effect..using stamp and ink. Finally did layering with black cardstock and iris folded card base...used clear glass droplets.
Card-4: In this card intial few step same ..like base same from iris paper..here only I have used memory Box piano die cuts in black..I have layered 4 pieces together to give raised look to piano keys. And decorated using DCAM flower designs, sentiment banner and clear glass droplets. Here also I did water color effect with distress oxides inks , black splatters with stamp n black ink , layering with black CS and iris folded card base.
Hope you have enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making them.. thank you for stopping by..if you have any queries please feel free to ask.. thank you

Bundle of Joy Baby Layout!

Hi everyone!

I 'm back to share with you my baby layout for DCAM blog inspiration. A soft, delicate, little vintage page in light pink and blue shades, made with lots of collectables, chipboard elements,  fussy cut flowers, shaker element, stamping and dies.

I think you can imagine how excited I'm, presenting my first scrapbooking baby layout!
I fell in love with Bundle of Joy collection critter sheet! I love the cute baby images, baby related elements, glossy print, colors, the flowers:D

The cute baby images inspired me to try something different this time! I fussy cut every little piece of this critter sheet with all tiny details. I wanted to create a composition of flowers around the baby image and all cute little elements to showcase as well, so created this little scene!
I also added a strip of a corrugated off-white sheet and added strips of pattern papers too, inked all of the pink scrap paper edges with distress ink, with the scissors I slightly distressed the edges too and curled them for more texture and dimension. Love the effect and textures which are giving perfect volume to this beautiful LO!
I matted my baby photo onto a pink sheet and also used a chipboard frame, heat embossed it. I also used some die cut leaves, fussy cut watercolour floral critter sheet to add underneath my photo.
I did some stamping too around my striped paper with some double stitched lines.

For the duo leaves, I used an ink smooshed technique using distress ink and die cut them. Made a cute shaker too with scallop circle dies filled with confetti Sprinklers in Multicolor with a baby bib! Die cut stitched tags also from some patterned papers along with a sentiment banner from the same critter sheet and ties up with a pink twine.

Here are some close-ups:

Then I started to create my layers on the page with lots of flowers and leaves, clouds, rainbows and all the tiny elements I added on scalloped circles with dimension.

I heat embossed one of the clouds using embossing powder for more dimension and realistic look.

The black banner sentiments are from the same critter sheet and giving depth to the image. Added a text chipboard sentiment Dream and heat embossed in pink glitter for textures.
I like the final result and Hoping you also enjoyed too!

To finish it off I added some of the embellishments from my collection to decorate my layout, like a pom-pom frilled lace, crochet flowers, luxury button, prima flowers, a cute dragonfly and few hearts!
This has been a fun collection to work with!

Happy crafting!

Simple pop-up card using DCAM Dies

Hey guys!

Spardha here today from The Lazy Owl Designs with an easy-peasy tutorial using these super simple pop-up card dies from DCAM.

Supplies Used: Cardstock - white; Vintage Watercolor critter sheets; Tools - MS label punch;
Embossing folder - Wood grain; Stamp -Cardmaking Connoisseurs Birthday;  Embellishments - Sequins, white string;

There are two ways of using these dies. One simple way of making beautiful pop up cards is you die cut the "pop" before folding the card. The other way, which I personally found easier, is to fold the card and align the die to the fold. Watch the video for more details.

And I can't tell you how easy it is to decorate the cards with these beautiful critter sheets. I've used Vintage Watercolour for this card.

Also, these sheets have a texture to them so they really don't look like prints.

I hope I've inspired you to create some of your own fun pop-up cards.

Boho style Earring set with dreamcatcher card!

Hello DCAM Fans!
Vinita here!

Once again I am back with something different and very trendy in Fashion gallery!!!

Jewellery is something that really enhances the grace and beauty of the women and young girls. They keep themselves updated with the latest trends and designs in jewellery so that at any event or function they are praised for their fine selection!

Now get ready to peek into them.

Let get started with boho style earrings first. When I got my DT kit and saw the leaves with Tendrils I know what I wanted to make exactly using them!

Steps:
  • Die cut the leaves out of heavy whisper white CS.
  • A little paint or glitter work added more a fancy touch to this jewellery.
  • So I heat embossed them using embossing powders with half in metallic copper and the half in black glitter 3 times for thick layer.
  • Die cut the circles 4 times from an adhesive copper color glitter foam sheet and arranged them as shown in the below pic.

  • This is the back side. After embossing it gave a feeling of light metal even you can't tear them now.
  • Affixed the earrings to the wire crimp.

These took a very short time to assemble, are relatively inexpensive and very easy to make. So, if you're short on ideas for gifts these are GREAT in a pinch!
Love the cool way and the desired look after finishing.

The Dreamcatcher card set

Steps:

  • I die cut the leaves with tendrils 3 times out of white CS and half embossed from the bottom side.
  • My card base is whisper white and I added an inverted scallop border on it.
  • Die cut the sparkle word text and heat embossed in metallic copper.

  • Now die cut a scallop stitched circle from an adhesive copper glitter foam sheet.
  • Tied the double shade twine to the leaves and beads along with strings. Embellished it with half pearls in different shade and sizes.

I think they turned out great and were so much fun to make!
Happy crafting!
