Hi crafty friends!
Gayatri here. At the outset let me remind you that you have just a week left to submit your entries to our first challenge. You have to use any of the stencil from the October release and three colors from the color palette
Before I go to the card I made as inspiration, I want to review the DCAM 2 step stencil - Cubicles. I had already shared a video on using the 2 step stencil in one of my previous posts. The 2 step stencil is so versatile that you can experiment with individual layers. The stencils are numbered A & B.
I have used the first layer (A) of cubicle stencil. The pictures will show how I created a background with 3 different DI.
You can see that the two step stencil gives you lots of options to play with.
Now my inspirational card:
I used the stencil A and created the background with various DI and cut it slanting. I adhered the pieces on to pure white card front with foam tape leaving a gap. I stamped the sentiment in the space between the two pieces. I stamped the image from Altenew stamp - Wild Hibiscus stamp set, on to watercolor paper and colored it with no-line coloring method using Zig color brush pens. I fussy cut the image and stuck it to the panel. Added few sequins to finish the card.
Products used:
Cubicles |
Wild Hibiscus |
Distress Ink |
Distress Ink |
Warm grey |
Crystal clear |
Hope I have inspired you today to create wonders with the DCAM stencils.
Looking forward to seeing you all participate in our current challenge
